Allstate Life Insurance Quotes (2026)

2026 answer: Allstate is an auto and home brand. It sold the Allstate life insurance block to Everlake (the sale closed in 2021). You should not start a new life application on allstate.com, and you should not treat an Allstate auto agent as the issuer of a cash-value whole life policy.
If you already own an Allstate life policy, service it with Everlake. If you want a new participating whole life policy, compare a mutual. The longer version is the Allstate whole life review.
Can you still buy Allstate life insurance?
Not as a new Allstate-issued policy in the way older articles describe. Allstate still sells property and casualty coverage. Life quotes that show up under the Allstate name are usually one of these:
| What you have | Who actually handles it | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| An in-force Allstate life or annuity policy from before the sale | Everlake | Call the number on your policy or annual statement. Do not use the auto-insurance app. |
| An Allstate agent offering “life insurance” today | Read the insurer name on the application. It may be Everlake or another company. | Compare that illustration to a mutual on the same face amount and pay period. |
| You want new cash-value whole life | A mutual company, not the Good Hands brand | Start with MassMutual and the top whole life companies for cash value. |
Everlake’s job on the acquired block is servicing and a different book of business. It is not where we illustrate paid-up additions.
Who this is for
Use this page if you typed “Allstate life insurance quote” because you already have a policy, or because an agent mentioned Allstate and you want to know whether that company still sells life insurance.
Skip the Allstate path if your only reason is a multi-policy discount on the car. That discount does not make a whole life illustration competitive.
What an accurate quote actually requires
A real permanent-life quote needs the issuer, the face amount, your age, tobacco status, and how long you will pay. “Allstate” is not those inputs.
- Name the company on the illustration. If the PDF says Everlake, a third-party carrier, or a mutual, that is the company you are buying — not Allstate Corporation.
- Separate an old policy from a new one. In-force Allstate-era coverage can still be worth keeping. A new application is a different decision.
- Ask for the guaranteed column. Cash value and death benefit that are contractual, not the current illustrated rate.
- Match the design. Same face amount and same pay period (for example, pay to 65, or 20 pay) before you call one quote cheaper.
If you already have an Allstate life policy
Keep it if the guarantees still do the job you bought it for. Canceling an older policy to “rewrite it at Allstate” is a common mistake: the new contract may have a new contestability period, a new cost, and a different company.
Have the annual statement in hand before you call. You want the policy number, the owner, and the beneficiary. Everlake’s financial strength is covered in the Allstate review (A.M. Best A, affirmed June 2026). Adequate is not the same as a mutual we use for new cash value.
If you want a new whole life policy
Get the quote from a company that still issues participating whole life. Get a whole life quote and compare it with the cash-value company list. Bring any Allstate-agent illustration with you so the face amount and premium years match.
