Penn Mutual Declares 2019 Dividend
Penn Mutual has announced its dividend. We have been waiting to have the actual dividend rate and we finally got it.
Penn Mutual’s 2019 dividend payout to policyholders will be $87 million.
This is a significant increase in terms of total payout, as in 2018 the total payout was $70 million.
However, Penn Mutual is decreasing its dividend interest rate from 6.34% to 6.10% for 2019. Older blocks of whole life policies have a different dividend interest rate which will decrease by 0.24% in 2019.

This decrease will impact whole life insurance cash value performance, so make sure you compare numbers once 2019 starts.
